OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- If the Raiders want to stay in Oakland, there's no more red tape in their way.

The city council passed several key measures last night for the proposed Coliseum City project in East Oakland.

The council certified an environmental report accepted a specific plan to develop and re-zone the area for three new sports venues, plus nearly 6,000 homes and retail and office space.

The measures needed approval if the city hopes to reach a deal to keep the Raiders.

The A's have already said they are not interested in a Coliseum City and the Warriors are planning a move to San Francisco, but Oakland hopes to reach a deal that will work for all three teams.
