Report: Raiders withholding rent while lease deal brokered

OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- The Oakland Raiders are withholding their annual rent payment to play at the O.co Coliseum. The Raiders refusal to pay rent comes as the team is working out a new lease extension.

Our media partner, the Oakland Tribune, reports the team's stance could complicate the city council's approval of that extension. The Coliseum's executive director believes the rent will get paid once the lease extension is finalized. Raiders officials haven't commented on the dispute.
