Oakland teacher not thinking about retirement after 53 years in classroom

In 1964, the Rolling Stones released their first album, President Lyndon Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act and Arvella Hayden began teaching kindergarten in Oakland.
OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- In 1964, the Rolling Stones released their first album, President Lyndon Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act and Arvella Hayden began teaching kindergarten in Oakland.
53 years later, Hayden is still teaching kinder in Oakland and has no plans to retire.
