Police officer shot during standoff in Washington state

MOUNT VERNON, WA. (KGO) -- Our Seattle ABC sister station KOMO reports that a police officer has been shot in the head, and now there is a standoff situation involving hostages.

The officer shot is said to be conscious and alert. He is now at the hospital.
