SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- The San Francisco Police Department is investigating allegation of possible criminal conduct involving an off-duty police officer that occurred in August 2015.
After the alleged sexual assault was reported, the officer was immediately placed into a non-public contact assignment and relieved of his department issued firearm.
The San Francisco Police Department is working closely with the District Attorney to conduct an investigation into these criminal allegations, which could result in charges against the officer.
Both the criminal and administrative investigations have been opened.
SFPD has no further comment at this time.
