SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- The situation between Russia and Ukraine began after Russian President Vladimir Putin's ordered his military troops to surround Ukraine, and within a few days, Russian troops have invaded Ukraine.
Russia has seized control of the Chernobyl nuclear plant, the site of the worst nuclear disaster the world has ever seen, a Ukrainian official says.

The country has been under siege as Russian forces are moving in on the capital city of Kyiv. And now, Ukrainian troops have been seen racing through the streets to defend itself.
