SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo made a friendly wager with Pittsburgh Mayor William Peduto ahead of the Stanley Cup Final series between the Sharks and the Penguins.

The losing mayor will make a donation to the winning mayor's charity of choice and take a photo -- to be posted on social media - wearing the captain's jersey of the Stanley Cup Championship team the day after the final game of the series.

The jersey will be donated to the charity of choice to be auctioned off as a fundraiser.

Liccardo's charity of choice is Destination: Home and Peduto's is the Hill House Association.

The losing mayor will also send a gift basket full of local goodies to the winning mayor. Pittsburgh's will have Primanti's sandwiches and Heinz Ketchup products and San Jose's will have Gordon Biersch garlic fries and beer and La Victoria's famous orange sauce.

"There's no chance for a penguin against a shark, either in nature or on the ice," said Mayor Sam Liccardo. "We're fired up to bring the Stanley Cup home to San José, and write the next chapter in a story that's been 25 years in the making."

The puck drops for Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final at 5 p.m. Monday.
