Takeaway of the Day

Thursday will be a sunny and mild day with highs in the mid 60s to the upper 70s. Winds will be breezy this afternoon and strengthen late tonight as offshore winds develop bringing elevated fire concerns.

A Red Flag Warning will begin at 11 p.m. tonight for gusty winds and humidity as low as 5%. Under these conditions, any new fires could spread quickly.

The Look Ahead

Our Red Flag Warning will continue through Saturday afternoon. Peak winds will occur Friday morning and again Saturday morning with gusts above 45mph possible and humidity down to 5%.

Winds will ease during the day on Saturday. Warm sunshine is expected for the rest of the weekend.
