More than 4,000 customers in Greenbrae, Larkspur and Corte Madera were blacked out before dawn because of an accident.
At about 5:30 this morning a garbage truck hit a power pole at Fifer Avenue and Tamal Vista Boulevard in Corte Madera.
Redwood High School in larkspur remains closed for the day due to the outage. The Larkspur Ferry terminal is open but was running on emergency generator power for awhile.
