Three San Jose City Council members are proposing a one year citywide moratorium on new fast food restaurants.

Nora Campos, Forrest Williams and Kansen Chu proposed the ban. It also includes a stipulation that would ban any new fast food restaurants within 1,000 feet of schools indefinitely.

Last month, the South Los Angeles City Council approved a similar moratorium.
