Police arrest 5 for stolen rifles

ANTIOCH, CA

Officers responded to a home in the 2000 block of Carmona Way where a burglary was reported at about 4 p.m., according to the Antioch Police Department.

Residents told police they saw a man leaving their home with the stolen property. When they confronted him, he fled to a neighboring house, police said.

Officers entered the home where the man had fled and found five East Bay residents inside, police reported.

Two Antioch girls, ages 12 and 16, were taken into custody, as were Andy Lautaimi, 21, of Oakland, Tevita Tasila, 18, and Lopeti Kaloni, 28, both of Antioch, according to police.

The three adults arrested face charges of possession of stolen property. All property taken from the home on Carmona Way was recovered, police reported.

The burglary remains under investigation.
