USA Today reports such big name acts as the Dave Matthews band will be lowering their ticket prices in response to our down economy.

Two-thirds of the tickets for Dave Matthews will average $40. U2 will offer about 10,000 seats per concert at around $30.

Neither U2 nor Dave Matthews has announced any Bay Area tour dates.

However, the bet is other big name acts will follow with price drops of their own.

Last year, the average ticket price for a top 10 touring act was $151.
