The incident was reported at about 4:10 a.m. near the intersection of Francisco Street and Richardson Avenue in the city's Marina District, Muni spokesman Judson True said.
A San Francisco fire dispatcher said emergency crews responded to reports of a man trapped under a bus.
Police said the man had been dragged under the bus, causing burns to his body, but said he did not suffer from broken bones or a head injury.
The man had been on the bus prior to the accident, according to True, who said the driver of the bus has been transferred to non-driving status as part of the agency's protocol after accidents.
To learn more about the condition of the victim, ABC7 I-Team interviewed Mohammed Alnaif.
