Detectives identified the suspect as Charles Cary Clark and went to his home near Santa Rosa City College at about 4:45 p.m. Police detained and arrested him after they spotted him driving out of the neighborhood.

Officers found a substantial amount of cash in his possession at the time of his arrest. Clark was arrested for robbery and burglary.

Police believe Clark robbed the Westamerica Bank at 111 Santa Rosa Ave. on Monday afternoon. The robber entered the bank at about 2 p.m. and gave the teller a note stating he had a gun, although a weapon was not seen, Sgt. Alissa Johnson said.
