Oregon Zoo takes in orphaned black bear cubs

PORTLAND

The cubs were brought to the zoo last Friday by wildlife officials who think their mother was scared off by loggers.

On the Oregon Zoo website, officials say the cubs are about a month old, weigh about two to three pounds, and are just starting to cut their teeth.

The cubs will be treated and cared for until they are healthy enough to be taken to their permanent home in Texas.
