A pedestrian who died in a hit-and-run crash in San Francisco on Friday night has been identified as city resident Gerardo Yambao, according to the San Francisco medical examiner's office. Police say 56-year old Yambao was in a crosswalk when he was hit by a white SUV at about 8:00 Friday night.
It happened on Lake Merced Boulevard near Brotherhood Way.
Yambao was hurled some 50-feet and died at the scene.
Authorities are searching for a white sport utility vehicle in connection with the crash, police said.
