Some parents in San Francisco's Sunset District are promising to shut down a spa police suspect is a brothel.

A couple of parents brought out their children Sunday morning to help protest in front of the Vicente Fitness and Health care Center.

It is located just a half-block from Dianne Feinstein Elementary School.

Police have cited spa employees for soliciting sex twice in the last four months, but say they cannot shut it down because the business permit comes from the Health Department.

"Police have done a great job trying to shut this place down, but the end result is the laws need to change," said parent Liz White.

Attempts by ABC7 News to contact the owners of the spa have been unsuccessful.

Police say the problem of prostitution rings operating out of private businesses and homes in the Sunset District has reached a crisis stage.
