3 arrested for Bay Area prostitution ring

The investigation led to the arrest of Jerry Chu, 31 of Union City, Jui Yuh Fang-Chu, 30 of Union City, and Scott Edwin Fleming, 51 of San Jose, according to police Sgt. Ronnie Lopez.

Lopez said the three suspects were arrested for pimping and pandering and booked into the Santa Clara County jail.

He said four additional women were cited and released for other prostitution-related charges.

The investigation began at a home in the 3100 block of Rubino Drive, but eventually expanded to include the cities of Fremont, Redwood City, Newark and Union City, according to Lopez.

He said those city's police departments assisted in serving several search warrants throughout the Bay Area.
