The solo-vehicle crash was reported around 6:40 a.m. on the northbound side of the highway just north of El Pintado Road, and emergency crews closed the lane closest to the center divide in both directions, CHP Officer Peter Van Eckhardt said.
The crash caused traffic congestion for about an hour during the morning commute, Van Eckhardt said.
The victim had to be extricated from the overturned vehicle and was taken to a hospital. Van Eckhardt did not know the extent of the person's injuries.
A Sig-alert was issued at 6:50 a.m. and canceled at 7:50 a.m.
