Hayward police say they have arrested five suspected members of a gang known by the initials DGF. Four males and one female were arrested; all were adults, except for one juvenile.
Police say they were involved in the shooting death of a 4-year-old Datasha Wilson in March of 2007. Her 4-year-old cousin Tatiana Coria was injured
Police said it has been difficult to get witnesses and others with information about the case to step forward.
The governor offered a $50,000 reward in that case, but police Thursday said that was not a factor in getting help from witnesses.
The arrests have given Hayward police new resolve to crack down on the DGF gang and others.
