16-year-old boy fatally shot in Richmond

A 16-year-old boy was fatally shot today in Richmond, a police spokeswoman said.

Deshawn Grisby was found dead at about 3:35 p.m. in front of a housing complex in the 4000 block of Flemming Avenue, police Sgt. Bisa French said.

There was no suspect description as of 4:30 p.m., but the suspect's vehicle was described as a White Dodge Avenger with California license plate No. 6LUU524, French said.

Anyone with information about the vehicle is asked to call 911 and report it immediately, French said.
