Meg Whitman schedules first public appearance since loss

Meg Whitman is set to make her first public appearance since losing the governor's race to Jerry Brown.

She's set to appear at a women's roundtable in Redwood City on January 31. The billionaire former CEO of eBay will speak to 50 to 100 women executive and entrepreneurs.

Whitman became the biggest self-funded candidate in U.S. history after spending $144 million of her own money on her campaign. She lost by 13 percentage points.
