Someone first noticed the sea lion in trouble on Wednesday. A team from the Marine Mammal Center went out yesterday to try to capture it. The sea lion proved too elusive.
"And the entanglements don't often present an immediate, life-threatening situation, so that does afford us a little bit of time to be able to plan, to make a good plan," said Erin Brodie of the Marine Mammal Center.
The team is still monitoring the situation.
