San Pablo police say that just after 11 a.m. Thursday, four men, all with guns, entered the H Bee jewelry store in the San Pablo town center and ordered everyone to get down. They're hoping the store's surveillance video will produce clues and assist investigators in their search for the armed robbers who made off with more than $200,000 worth of jewelry.
Hyung has been in the business for 14 years and says he's had some scary moments in the past, but nothing could have prepared him for what played out in his store Thursday. "I see four guys with hood and mask on, just charging into the store with guns. They told us to get down on the ground. If you move, they'll kill us. And then they start breaking my showcase and reach into my safe," he recalled.
Hyung says the entire incident took less than two minutes and fortunately, no one was hurt. The men threw the stolen goods into a duffle bag and jumped into a waiting car. Witnesses say the suspects took off in a tan four-door car, possibly a Mercedes Benz, and went west on I-80.
San Pablo police say they are looking for suspects tied to this case because it could be related to other crimes that have occured recently.
