A protest by independent truckers caused a work stoppage at the Port of Oakland Monday morning.

Sky7 HD captured video that shows the pickets blocking access to the SSA terminals affecting five berths at the port.

The truckers are upset about slow turnaround times at berths 55 through 59.

A Port of Oakland spokesperson says those berths are not operating Monday.

The SSA terminals have been the center of rent backlogs forcing the truckers to idle for long hours just waiting for containers to transport.
