BREAKING: 7-alarm grass fire burning near I-80 in Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, Calif.

The Fairfield Fire Department reports some residents are being evacuated and at one structure has been damaged.

The California Highway Patrol has issued a SIG Alert for eastbound lanes on Interstate 80 through Fairfield. Two right lanes have been closed due to smoke from the fire.
