SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- Sacred Heart Community Service is giving 3,200 low-income families in the South Bay a healthy Christmas feast for free.

"Every family that comes in is going to be receiving a 50-pound box much like Thanksgiving with fresh fruit and vegetables, canned goods and either turkey ham or chicken," said Morgan Wordes, a Sacred Heart spokesperson.

ABC7 News was in San Jose where volunteers have been packing and distributing those holiday food boxes.

Sacred Heart is also giving donated toys to 6,000 kids in need.
