99,000 Americans missing out on tax refunds

SAN FRANCISCO

The Internal Revenue Service is trying to give $153 million back to 99,123 Americans. The IRS can't find these taxpayers mostly because the mailing addresses were wrong on their tax returns.

The refunds they have coming average out to $1,547 per person and about 2,100 of them live in the Bay Area. .
