Car rentals set on fire in Vallejo

VALLEJO, CA

Authorities believe someone may have set the fire. It just doesn't look like it would have been an accident. But the question is why someone would have set cars on fire at the Enterprise car rental at 1225 Sonoma Boulevard in Vallejo.

Three cars were on fire when firefighters arrived. The cars were leaking gas and the gas was on fire too, so firefighters had to use foam instead of water to get the upper hand on this fire.

"The fire, when it spread from the vehicles into the trees the flames, of course the trees being 30 feet high, it was a pretty impressive sight at first," said Chief Ray Dandridge, Vallejo fire department.

No one was hurt and no one was at the car rental agency when it happened. The call came in at 3:30 am Friday morning. The firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading over to the rental cars office building. Now authorities just have to figure out who set this fire and why.
