East Bay residents jolted by small quakes

DANVILLE, Calif.

According to the USGS, the earthquake struck at 2:24 p.m. and had a depth of 8.5 miles.

The quake was centered 7 miles northeast of Blackhawk and 10 miles east of Danville, according to the USGS.

Early Sunday morning, a 3.2-magnitude quake was recorded 4 miles northwest of Danville at 3:29 a.m., according to the USGS, just minutes after a separate 3.2-magnitude quake was reported in the same location at 3:13 a.m.
