Ryan McKnight and Robert Chavira are being held in San Diego County on robbery charges and parole violations.
The pair is suspected in the October robbery of a jewelry store in the Westfield Valley Fair Mall.
The robbers used sledgehammers to break open glass cases and steal a number of items while a surveillance camera rolled.
McKnight and Chavira are also suspects in similar smash and grab robberies from across the state.
