Preliminary 3.0 earthquake strikes near San Jose, USGS says

HALF MOON BAY, Calif. (KGO) -- A preliminary magnitude 3.0 earthquake struck near San Jose Monday morning, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The quake happened at 9:09 a.m.



It hit around 16 kilometers east of South San Jose.



So far, there have no reports of any major damage or injuries.
