Man shot by BART police identified

SAN FRANCISCO

BART police say Hill was aggressive and was holding a broken bottle and a knife when they shot him, but a witness to Sunday's fatal shooting at San Francisco's Civic Center BART station said a man was "definitely not" running or lunging at officers when they shot at him.

According to the Bay Citizen newspaper, Myleen Hollero said the man looked like a drunk hippie and officers should not have shot him.

The officers involved are on routine administrative leave. Surveillance video from the BART platform has not been released.
