An alert citizen tipped officers that the suspects' car had been spotted on Richmond Boulevard at around noon, according to Oakland police. Officers located the vehicle and detained a man and woman who matched a description of the suspects, police said.
Officers also recovered a gun that was believed to have been used in this morning's shooting, police said.
The suspects' names were not released.
Police had sent out a detailed description of the 1990 Infiniti seen leaving the scene of the shooting, which took place near a McDonald's restaurant at 45th Street and Telegraph Avenue at around 9:30 a.m., according to Oakland police.
One male victim was wounded and is expected to survive, police said.
